Hello, My name is Randy Trotter, I have been into model rockets for since the Jan of 2002.
I build a few small rockets, but quickly found out my backyard is not a good place to launch rockets (I live on a lake and
the wind blows toward the water!!) So I found a local club and started going there. Tripoli South Carolina Rocketry is great. I went to my first launch in May of 2002. I showed up with one rocket.
A estes Phoenix. I put a D12 in it and launched it. It was very underpowered. But It survived.
Then the Prefect gave me a E30-4. Wow what a difference!!!!! And I was hooked.
